January 2008: Unfortunately, I have been having problems getting an updated version of the family tree to work on this site. I will look for ways round this problem.
(If you have trouble displaying the tree you may need a more up to date Java plugin)

How the tree is Displayed A Dynamic Family Tree is displayed on Internet Explorer or Netscape as a single Web Page showing four generations of ancestors and one generation of descendants of an individual who by definition is at the focus of the tree. I have acquired the information about relatives from a variety of individuals and it has not always been possible to ask directly for permission to include them here. If you wish me to remove details about you or living members of your immediate family from the information posted please let me know and I will be happy to do so. Similarly, if there are errors, please let me know and I will correct them. Moving the mouse pointer over an individual displays further information and clicking on the individual brings that person to the focus of the tree, revealing a new set of ancestors and descendants. The Back and Forward buttons on the toolbar allow scrolling through previous changes of tree focus. Where Notes are available for the individual at the tree focus, a Notes Button is displayed. The actual Notes are displayed when this button is clicked. Holding the Mouse Button down over the individual at the tree focus will also display any notes, and will also include any details which were truncated by the display panel. If an Image is available for the individual at the tree focus, an Image Button is displayed. Image files however are not included as part of the database download, but are accessed on-line as required when the Image Button is clicked. Tree Ownership
& Colour Coding Individuals are colour coded as follows: Blue Tree
Owner. Ownership of the tree may be transferred to the person at the tree focus by clicking on the Change Owner button and restored to the default setting by clicking on the Default Owner button on the toolbar. When tree ownership is changed, the colour coding reflects the change of ownership. The owner of the tree may be moved to the tree focus by clicking on the Owner button on the toolbar. The Index Either the full index or the filtered index may be used to select an individual directly. The Filter Index facility enables the user to search for particular individuals by name, using 'wildcard' characters if required. Clicking on the Index button, displays a colour coded index. Positioning the mouse pointer over an individual in the index displays further information and clicking on an individual brings that person to the focus of the tree. Online Help
